Charlotte Brontë has come to the National Portrait Gallery

To mark the bicentenary of her birth on 21st April 1816, the devoted cult which has been supporting the author since her death, shows no sign of abating.

The power and urgency of Brontë’s voice remains extraordinarily alive, yet arguably haunting.

If you are a fan, the National Portrait Gallery will indeed be a feast!
