This is an incredible story of resilience and amazing achievement. A twenty-year-old Syrian refugee has won a scholarship to Oxford. He arrived in England, in 2015, on a refrigerated lorry with his mother. The scholarship was set up by students for young people whose refugee status risked their chances of entering higher education.
After teaching Arabic to refugees he won a scholarship to Brighton College and went on to gain A* in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics.
What a truly inspiring story and I wish Sulaiman Wihba all the best as he continues his studies!
