Bring me the sunshine!

I know I’ve said a lot about vitamins before but I really do feel like I need to say something about this one again.

Please do take vitamin D3 as it helps your body in so many ways and vitamin D makes it the best-selling supplement sold during the long and gloomy winter months.

  • Vitamin D regulates the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, needed to keep bones, teeth and muscles strong.
  • A lack of vitamin D can cause rickets in children, and lead to osteomalacia, which causes bone tenderness, in adults.
  • An all year round supplement is recommended for those who are housebound or who do not get enough Vitamin D from the sun.
  • In winter, it can be difficult to rely only on your diet where it can be found in oily fish, red meat, liver and egg yolks.
